Recently the Zeus PR team joined forces with leading concentrated disinfectant brand Zoflora and former Hollyoaks stars, Ali Bastian, Sarah-Jayne Dunn and Carley Stenson for the first phase of the “Big Clean Up Campaign”.

Together with more than 20 volunteers, the teams took on the job of cleaning up the brand new Temporary Adoption Centre at the Manchester Dogs’ Home in time for its official reopening to the public. We all got stuck in and scrubbed the decks to make it a lovely, fragrantly fresh environment for the new furry tenants to move into.

On September 11th 2014, an arsonist attack burnt a whole block of kennels to the ground, resulting in the tragic loss of 58 dogs. Following the aftermath of the tragedy the people of Manchester joined together, getting involved with various fundraising efforts and a total of £1.4 Million was donated by the general public. On the 4th November 2015, 20 volunteers lent a helping hand to the team as they helped prepare the newly built centre for reopening.

Zoflora Linen Fresh was used and everyone got their rubber gloves on and put their cleaning skills to practice to kill any harmful viruses and bacteria that may have been lurking in the newly built facility.

After a morning of hard work and lots of elbow grease, the Zeus PR girls, the Zoflora ladies and the Hollyoaks stars looked upon the centre with pride as it was left sparkly clean, ready for the dogs to settle in.

The day turned out to be a great success and it’s fair to say that everybody thoroughly enjoyed getting involved, none more than Ali Bastian who brought her own dogs along to the event.  Ali commented: “It has been fantastic to get involved with the clean up. Zoflora and the army of volunteers did a great job of disinfecting the Adoption Centre so that is ready for the dogs to go in. I am so pleased I could help with this great initiative.”
