Exploring new creative arenas is always exciting, and the Zeus PR team had the opportunity to do just that with Apnas – the highly anticipated debut feature film from AFA Productions, a division of our client AFA Group.
From the very first casting call in 2024 to the glamour of the red carpet screening this September, we’ve been on hand to support Apnas with PR activity across the creative industry, business media and regional outlets, generating strong buzz for the film.
In 2025, as the film entered its post-production phase, our in-house design studio launched, providing the perfect opportunity for Zeus PR to get creative with Apnas’ branding. We were tasked with designing a post-production pitch deck for distribution agents and producing the official poster. The pitch deck showcased everything from cast profiles and character arcs to the film’s narrative themes, target audience and marketing ambitions. This work laid the foundation for the striking official poster, ensuring the storytelling essence of Apnas carried through visually.
Alongside this creative work, we also played a hands-on role in shaping the film’s distribution journey. Our team sourced key distribution agent contacts and carried out targeted outreach to position Apnas with the right industry professionals. This ensured the film was given the best chance to reach audiences across the UK, while strengthening AFA Productions’ connections within the sector.
As a bold contribution to UK South Asian cinema, Apnas explores family expectations, moral dilemmas and the dangerous pull of Manchester’s criminal underworld. We wanted those layered dynamics to shine through in every element of the creative assets we produced. Working alongside respected industry professionals has been a fantastic experience, and we are thrilled with the results. With AFA Productions now in talks with major distribution agents, the next exciting stage of Apnas is well underway.
The journey culminated in an exclusive screening at ODEON Trafford Centre on 26 September, where cast and crew reunited for a full cinema experience. The event included heartfelt speeches from the co-directors and producers and gave us the wonderful opportunity to see the official Apnas poster showcased on the red carpet. A proud moment for Zeus PR, and an inspiring milestone for the whole team behind the film.
