It was a big night for team Zeus at the Drum Marketing Awards last week, as we celebrated with our partner agencies Mosquito Digital and Network Design, after our client Zoflora was highly-commended as ‘Emerging Brand of the Year’!
Following a successful collaborative approach, Zoflora was recognised for its significant growth and strong brand presence. The iconic household brand has energised and empowered consumers, bringing younger users in and developing a new trend for cleaning.
Zoflora has consolidated its position as the UK’s number one liquid disinfectant brand, benefitting from a very substantial 22% like for like annual growth! The national brand we all know and love now commands 41% marketing share of both sales and volume of the growing £40.6m UK liquid disinfectant market.
A key PR highlight contributing towards the much-coveted acknowledgement was Zoflora’s inaugural presence at Crufts 2018. To generate press interest from the national media and to maximise Zoflora’s exposure, the Zeus team enlisted ex-EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa to attend the stand on press day. Through managing a high-impact press photocall and instigating a hardworking media relations campaign, impressive coverage was achieved with a total combined print and digital media reach of 104,992,211. The press campaign featured in eight national publications including the Daily Mail, Daily Express and Daily Mirror, with the brand’s key messages achieving significant reach into a wider audience.
We also enlisted Jacqueline to share her Zoflora experience on her social media feeds, including a video to her Instagram followers which featured in the national press.
During the high-profile Drum Marketing Awards ceremony, Zoflora was additionally recognised as a finalist in the category ‘FMCG Brand of the Year’.

Zeus Supports Englana’s Celebrity Launch
The Zeus team headed to London with client, Englana a luxury lifestyle brand, to support their latest press launch at The Ivy Soho Brasserie.
The launch provided the British lifestyle brand with the opportunity to unveil their new partnership with international supermodel, Jodie Kidd and to showcase their exclusive new ranges, The Mono and The Victory, to key journalists and bloggers.
The agency were on hand throughout the day to share live social media updates, Instagram stories and behind the scene shots, revealing the partnership to the brands loyal following.
The event was a huge success, with all attendees thrilled to find out more about the collaboration and the brand.
Subsequent news coverage was secured on Retail Times, Diary Directory and Tempus Magazine.
On the day a number of speeches took place providing the journalists with an insight into the brand and celebrity ambassador.
Jodie commented, “Englana®’s stunning collections are inspired by the Shropshire landscape; I’m a country girl at heart, and love the rich connections this brand has to nature and the British countryside. In each and every item, you can see the love and attention to detail that has lavishly gone into creating the beautifully crafted items.”
Jodie is currently working with Englana to create a collection in her own colour choice, selecting a rich maroon shade for the leather, with vibrant teal stitching.
Englana also showcased premium, design-led home accessories such as The Willow Collection of baskets – handcrafted in Somerset, using centuries old techniques and the local Somerset willow that is famed worldwide. The brand also had samples of their luxurious Merino wool blanket & throw ranges which are made in an old English mill using traditional skills and modern techniques, alongside beautiful cushions, available in a choice of contemporary and heritage patterns, all produced in the mills in England.

A Success for Zoflora!
Zeus PR is celebrating a fantastic campaign result, after attending Crufts for the second year running with client, Zoflora, the leading disinfectant brand.
This year, the agency worked alongside Zoflora to book actress and model, Jorgie Porter and her dog Lady, to launch the latest pet-friendly fragrance, Fresh Home ‘Green Valley’.
The overall campaign was a huge success, the Zeus team generated excitement, whilst raising awareness of Zoflora’s attendance at the prestigious show through a high-impact photo call. Coverage was secured in The Sun, Mail Online and the Express & Star, alongside other trade and regional titles. The national media also sparked an interest in social media posts shared by Jorgie Porter, as she documented her Crufts trip throughout the day to her one million followers.
On the day, the star also unveiled the Zoflora Fragrance Trail, an immersive experience which comprises of a feature wall adorned with exquisite fantasy flowers including daffodils, lavender, roses, hydrangeas and greenery, complete with a giant Green Valley bottle and floral waterfall. The spectacular display dispersed the fresh and delicate floral fragrance notes of Fresh Home Green Valley, including elements of crisp green leaves, and fruity apples, combined with a bouquet of wild flowers including mountain pansy and buttercup.
The iconic household brand welcomed visitors to experience the magic of their beautiful fragrances and enjoy entertainment from Indie, the famous dancing dog. No stranger to performing, Indie was crowned the winner of ITV’s ‘That Dog Can Dance’, in addition to auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent.
Not forgetting its four-legged guests, Zoflora pampered the visiting pooches with a ‘Dog Bar’, to help their canine visitors relax and hydrate.

Containing patented malodour technology, Zoflora’s range of Fresh Home Odour Remover and Disinfectant has been tested against pet-specific odours including vomit, urine, excrement and that horrid ‘wet dog’ smell. Zeus 'trades' in the Office for Grafters LIVE
The Zeus PR team supported long-standing client Real Stone & Tile as they showcased at Manchester-based, Grafters LIVE, alongside bathroom specialist, BAGNODESIGN.
Not only were they working with a must-have brand in the bathroom industry, Real Stone & Tile were the only firm in the sector to be represented at this prestigious construction specifier show. Our Managing Director, Anthea was on hand throughout the day to liaise with attendees, manage photo opportunities and update social media feeds to maximise brand awareness for the client.
The event, held on 8th March at the Etihad Stadium, is Manchester’s largest property development show and the only B2B construction and property exhibition to celebrate upcoming projects, and their impact on the North West’s specialist contractors and subcontractors.
During the event, Real Stone & Tile were on hand to provide their excellent knowledge and advice on the vast array of on-trend finishes and in-built stylish design features available from BAGNODESIGN.
Present at Grafters LIVE were many industry specialists, including the North West’s best property developers. Live stage interviews were carried out throughout the day, allowing individuals such as Gary Jackson, CEO of the De TRAFFORD Estates, Alex Russel, Group MD of the Property Alliance Group and David Searle, Director of the HS Property Group to discuss their background and upcoming projects.
Overall it was a successful day for Real Stone & Tile, showcasing BAGNODESIGN’s beautiful collections and networking with industry specialists.

‘My Horlicks Moments’ Press Sampling
For our hectic media contacts, Zeus has launched the My Horlicks Moments press sampling campaign, allowing busy journalists time to simply unwind with a cup of warm, comforting and delicious Horlicks!

This is part of a much wider campaign by Horlicks – as the iconic British brand and a family favourite launch an initiative to encourage consumers to take time out, to relax and enjoy ‘their moment’.
A large consumer research project is currently underway but initial drivers research identified that consumers mostly enjoyed Horlicks as it provides a sense of comfort and relaxation*. Zeus Attends Women of the Year Awards
Team members from the agency had the chance to meet some of the UK’s most inspirational women at the highly anticipated and star-studded Women of the Year Awards recently held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
As guests of our client Emma Elston MBE, we were treated to a fantastic event, which celebrated top achieving women across various industries. And poignant moment came with a very special tribute to the Women of the Royal Air Force in their Centenary year, who were honoured with the Women of Achievement Award.
Sally Preston, founder and Managing Director of global, award-winning, snacks and meals brand Kiddylicious, won the Business Woman of the Year award.
Fiona Allan, Chief Executive and Artistic Director at the Birmingham Hippodrome and finalist for the Business Woman of the Year award was presented with the Jaguar “Woman with Edge” Award, for defying convention and showing edge in a transformational way within her business life.
Lastly, a Special Recognition Award - on the centenary of 1918 suffrage act, was dedicated to the Women of the Suffragette Movement.
Vocal group D-Day Darlings entertained the 600 plus guests, and inspirational speeches ran throughout, with speakers including British actress Sally Lindsay and Dr Helen Pankhurst, great grand-daughter of Emmeline Pankhurst.

The agency is celebrating its highly successful campaign for the national launch of the delicious Levi Roots Caribbean Snack Pots!
The Zeus PR team was tasked with getting the tasty treats in front of major national newspaper titles, glossy magazines and influential bloggers to secure coverage across a range of platforms.
We created and issued an exclusive Levi Roots gift hamper which included the full snack pot range; Reggae Reggae Noodles, Levi’s Curry Noodles, Caribbean Coconut Rice and Rasta Pasta, which had all been developed in conjunction with Levi Roots in his ‘rastaraunt’ kitchen. The hampers were sent to the journalists and bloggers, giving them the opportunity to review each of the lunchtime treats!

At Zeus we love nothing more than getting out and about to support our clients at industry events and exhibitions. It gives us a chance to see at first hand our client's offering within a niche sales environment, get a feel for their target customer demographic and bolster their media presence at the same time.
On 12th September, team members attended the UK's largest recycling and waste management exhibition RWM with our client UK Container Maintenance (UKCM), who had developed a highly impressive stand to showcase their offering to public and private sector waste management and procurement professionals.
The stand became throughout the course of the day, a destination stop for attendees in search of valued advice and direction on container refurbishment.
It represented for the PR agency team a great opportunity to meet face to face with UKCM's key trade media, handing out press material and gleaming an insight into further editorial opportunities for our client, which is the largest family owned container repair and refurbishment company.
UKCM turns over £6million per annum and employs more than 60 people. Dedicated to the refurbishment of all types of waste and recycling containers, the firm fulfills waste company and local authority mobile repairs, as well as factory-based services at its state-of-the art 80,000 sq ft factory in Winsford, Cheshire.

Members of the Zeus team headed down to the capital for three days to support Englana at Christmas in July – a festival for new and pioneering brands to showcase their products to over 1000 attending press and digital influencers.
Supporting our clients launch to the market, Zeus PR instigated a hardworking media campaign - liasing with significant journalists, bloggers and influencers to generate interest and excitement around the unique collections, whilst strengthening relationships with new and existing contacts.
Throughout the show, the Zeus team was on hand to support the client’s social media channels by taking a range of photographs to share engaging content with followers, and connect with high profile journalists and influencers. We welcomed two celebrities to the stand, Ella Willis and Julius Cowdrey who were delighted to view the Englana range and also posed for a photo!
