WaterBear Music College Education PR

Hitting the High Note for WaterBear Sheffield

As the pioneering college of music WaterBear prepares to open the doors to its second campus in September 2023, building on the success of its inaugural college in Brighton, Zeus PR has been busy working closely with the passionate team to support the college’s ambitious expansion plans.

Most recently, members of the Zeus team headed over to Yorkshire for the hugely successful WaterBear Sheffield launch event, held at the new state-of-the-art facility.

The agency generated a significant amount of pre-event media coverage, majoring on several press stories to maximise exposure for the hotly-anticipated occasion. On the day, the Zeus team pulled out all of the stops for our pioneering client – with interest from a key TV broadcast channel and film crews pushed for time, Zeus PR stepped in and captured footage of the ceremonious ribbon cutting on an iphone, sending to the media contact to secure prime time BBC News coverage.

A culmination of hard work by the passionate WaterBear team has created an unrivalled learning space for students keen to embrace WaterBear’s unique ethos of building a long-term, sustainable career in the music industry. Over 250 enthusiastic attendees passed through the doors for the event to enjoy an afternoon of live music and networking, including the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, industry partners, tutors, offer holders, parents and those interested in finding out more about the many BA and MA courses on offer.

Zeus PR Riding High with Southport’s Major Attractions

Zeus PR has won a competitive pitch to manage the digital and print PR brief for four major attractions in Southport, including; the iconic Southport Pleasureland with its rich history dating back over a century, the newly installed 35-metre Big Wheel Southport, Lakeside Miniature Railway and the Viking Adventure Golf.

The agency is undertaking a multi-platform national and regional press, influencer and brand partnership campaign to showcase the attractions, and the soon-to-be unveiled Discovery Bay land – a new 67,000 square foot area within the park, which includes six new rides including two new thrill rides, and a large family ride, within a retro-futuristic styled new land, and a major outdoor themed festival venue (capable of accommodating 3000 people).

Due to open in June, Discovery Bay forms the next stage of a large-scale investment programme, and follows significant investment in 2022. This landmark development represents a further multi-million pound injection into the park’s transformation, designed to put the site firmly on the map as a national must-visit UK attraction, and bringing the 12 month total investment in the park to £4.7 million.

Discovery Bay takes elements of Victorian ingenuity and industry and gives them a more whimsical feel. Taking inspiration from steam-powered contraptions and fantastical machines of old, the new fully immersive land will evoke a magical era of exploration and discovery with ‘steampunk chic’ vibes abound.

Norman Wallis, CEO for all four Southport attractions, comments: “We invited a number of PR agencies to tender for the brief and Zeus PR’s experience and delivery of campaigns for national consumer family brands is very aligned to the UK-wide demographic we are keen to reach.

“All four attractions have seen, and are continuing to see, substantial investment, and we are firmly focussed on showcasing all we have to offer and raising awareness of Southport as major tourist destination. Zeus PR is as passionate about achieving this as we are.”
